IPWA Membership Categories
Live Production
Individual farmers and organizations (producers, processors and breeders) who are actively involved in the ownership and/or management of commercial live poultry, including genetics companies, producers and processors of turkeys, broilers, ducks, and eggs into saleable product.
Retail
Organizations who bring poultry and poultry-related products to the end consumer.
Supplier
Organizations who are actively involved in supplying commercial poultry production with products or services.
Research
Individuals and organizations involved in research and knowledge development and dissemination on poultry production/ products and welfare in the widest sense.
Civil Society and Associations
Non-government and non-commercial institutions, foundations, associations and organizations whose members have an interest in poultry welfare. Lobbying and non-lobbying industry organizations whose members are actively involved in the production, processing, promotion and/or commercialization of poultry products for consumption are also included in this category.
Membership Application
IPWA Membership application process:
- The IPWA Membership Application Request Form is available here.
- All complete applications will be reviewed by the Executive Director and the Alliance’s Membership Committee.
- The review process will include verification of the applicant’s interest in the Alliance, alignment with the vision, mission and objectives of the Alliance, and placement within one of the five constituency groups. The Executive Director may request more information from the applicant as deemed necessary to complete the review process.
- If an applicant is approved for membership, payment of the annual membership dues is required. Once membership dues have been received, the member will be an approved member of the Alliance and will have access to the member-only portion of the IPWA website (poultrywelfare.org), will be able to join and participate in Alliance committees and working groups.
- If an applicant is rejected for membership, the Executive Director will provide reason(s) for this decision.
